Yoga is a time-tested, multi-faceted method of calming the mind and rejuvenating and strengthening the body. Asana, the physical postures of yoga, were created to foster health in body and focus in mind. As such, asana is a great place to come into meditative awareness, a beneficial practice for the body, and a traditional preparation for meditation. It stretches and strengthens the body, improving flexibility, balance and coordination. Yoga teaches muscle awareness, improving the efficiency of movement and reducing the risk of injury, especially athletic injury.

Everyone can benefit from yoga. You don't need to be flexible, athletic, or injury-free to do yoga - you can always start from where you are!
